Jackie Stiles
Known for her tireless work ethic and long hours in the gym, Stiles set scoring records in high school that may never be approached, let alone broken. The pride of the Claflin Wildcats, no one scored more points in Kansas high school basketball history – male or female. And no women’s player has scored more points at the NCAA level than Stiles, who starred at Southwest Missouri State University (now Missouri State) and led the Lady Bears in the 2001 Final Four. She became the first player in NCAA history to score more than 1,000 points in one season. Stiles finished her college career with an all-time best 3,393 points and was honored with the 2001 Wade Trophy, signifying the country’s best women’s basketball player.
